This is a very interesting love story that I will like to share.
You never know when you will get found, or when you will find your
spouse. It could be in church, school, work, through a mutual friend....
Well, Biodun found his under the sun and in the rain.
You got that right! Biodun found Damilola at Arochukwu, Abia state
during their service year.
They started off as friends, talked a lot about background, family
and so many other things. Unknown to Damilola, Biodun had falling hard in love
with her and visited her occasionally. He was also such a gentleman, that he
escorted her to her CDS on some days. Awwwwn!
At this time, Damilola was in a serious relationship with another,
which she told Biodun and he backed off. By 2013 when they passed out, they
lost touch with each other.
But what can I say? True love never dies.
Fast forward to 2015, a few weeks after her birthday, Damilola was
scrolling through her birthday messages on Facebook, when she saw one from
Biodun. Coincidentally, he was online and they got chatting. Damilola told him
she lived in Lagos with her family and Biodun assumed she had gotten married to
her 'now ex'.
They had their first date few weeks later at KFC Ikeja and things
picked up from there.
Biodun knowing what exactly he wanted kept calling and toasting
Damilola, who at that time was healing from a heartbreak.
He told her exactly what his plans were which was to start a
family with her while Damilola, in her closet was praying and trusting God that
Biodun was 'THE ONE'
Your guess is as good as mine.... Nov 5th 2015, at an outing on an
island, Damilola and Biodun started dating. March 2016, Biodun popped the
question casually but Damilola thought he was joking. Not until September 2016,
when Biodun surprised her by going on one knee with a beautiful ring.
The beautiful introduction took place November 2016, in Kaduna and
by the grace of God, this month of March, Damilola and Biodun would be joined
in Holy matrimony.
"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it not
boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonour others, it is not self-seeking, it is
not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight
in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always
trusts, always hopes, and always perseveres.
Love never fails."
